The Teeside Family Foundation
The Teesside family foundation, is a charity run by volunteers. We raise funds by taking part in fundraising events, our aim is to help, support, create memories and change the lives of people with disabilities, who are battling life limiting illness, who have been through personal trauma or are facing financial hardship.
We provide holidays in the foundations holidays homes, specialist equipment, grassroots sport funding, my dream day experiences, hardship support, support for local schools, community group & charities working with those in our most deprived communities.
St Gemma’s Hospice
St Gemma’s Hospice is a local, independent Leeds charity that provides the best possible care and support for local people with life-threatening illnesses and their loved ones.
Alzheimers Research UK
Almost one million people are living with dementia today. Tragically, not one of them will survive. Alzheimer’s Research UK exists to change that. As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, we are working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. And then, we will find a way to cure it.
To do this, we’re investing in the best research, powering the most forward-thinking scientists and joining forces with world-class organisations. With your support, we promise we will not stop until dementia can no longer destroy lives. We are Alzheimer’s Research UK. We exist for a cure.
Candlelighters
Each year, around 150 children in Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer. Candlelighters has one clear vision: to bring light and hope to all families affected by childhood cancer in Yorkshire. Today, Candlelighters brings light to families by providing emotional, practical and financial support, and hope, by investing in vital research to improve the outcomes and lives of children with cancer.
Heel & Toe
Heel and Toe Children’s Charity provides over 12,000 hours of free therapy every year to children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. Heel and Toe are not government funded and need to raise £500,000 every year to continue providing this free therapy.
Leeds Mind
Leeds Mind are an independent charity working under the umbrella of the national Mind charity. We are one of over 130 local Mind’s that serve local communities across England and Wales. Over forty years since our inception, we have grown and evolved and are thriving whilst delivering a wide range of services right across the Leeds area. The aim of our work at Leeds Mind is to help local people build on their strengths, overcome obstacles, and become more in control of their lives. Leeds Mind supports the people of Leeds to discover their own resources to ‘recover’ from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently alongside their mental health condition.
Veterans At Ease
Veterans at Ease is a registered charity committed to helping veterans, reservists, serving military personnel and their families deal with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other combat stress-related issues. We will help anyone who feels they need our support whether they have been diagnosed with PTSD or not.
